Socialization Classes

When:        Wednesdays from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Prerequisites:   Dogs most be neutered or spayed unless the dogs are puppies younger than 6 months old. Dogs must have had exercise prior to this session (socialization classes are not a substitute for exercise). Bring appropriate clothes for weather conditions, appropriate shoes (no open toe shoes), and treats (dry liver treats available for sale).

Socialization classes give your dog the opportunity to interact with other dogs and learn appropriate communication skills. As a handler you learn to observe a dog’s body language and recognize cues for different behaviours. These sessions challenge your dog psychologically by teaching him to remain calm in exited situations. We emphasize proper greeting rituals, ass well as the practice of your recall and other behaviours under heavy distractions.
