Our Rescues

The CVRAC rescues dogs from different backgrounds. Some have been abused, neglected, poorly socialized, have been in traumatic events, or have never been educated. We have 5-6 rescue dogs at any one time.

Once a dog arrives at the centre rehabilitation begins. The rehabilitation program provides the dog with medical exams, exercise, education, discipline and of course affection. The dogs are given very clear rules and boundaries and this makes them feel safe.

The rehabilitation stages of a dog can last from a couple of weeks, to a couple of months, to a couple of years depending how severe the dog’s situation is. Once a dog has become stable and has passed behaviour tests it is ready for adoption. The CVRAC then adopts dogs out to families willing to continue with the leadership that these dogs require in order to remain stable.

If you are interested in adopting one of our rescued, trained and rehabilitated dogs and you are a determined individual who knows the meaning of discipline and consistency, please contact us, we might have the perfect dog for you
