Valley Calderoni
Valeria Calderoni, Valley, was born in Mexico. Since she was young she displayed admiration, love, and a special connection with animals. From 1996 to 1998 she worked as a commercial artist, fundraiser and public speaker for “Habitat”, an organization dedicated to the Preservation and Conservation of animals in the Sierra Madre mountain range. In 1999 she moved to Vancouver, Canada, where she began volunteering at various SPCA adoption centres and at “Dog Days”, a Daycare for Discerning Dogs.
Valley Graduated from Carson Graham Secondary School in 2001 as an outstanding graduate. She Obtained the Capilano College Board Entrance Scholarship, The Grade Twelve Scholarship Award, and the Ursula Creelman Memorial Bursary. During the year of 2003 Valley graduated with honours from the Obedience Instructor Training Program at the Animal Behaviour College in California where she specialized in Canine Behaviour Modification. Later in 2003, with the support of Lamppost Productions Inc., Valley began the development of an educational program designed to improve the lifestyle of dogs and their owners. The program Dog Training – A Guide to Lasting Relationships was released on DVD on December of 2005.
During 2005 Valley was certified by the Private Post Secondary Education Commission of British Columbia as a Professional Dog Trainer and Behavioural Consultant. Her devotion to protecting and caring for animals; as well as her commitment to educating people on the proper treatment of animals, has allowed Valley to have a successful career as a Professional Behavioural Consultant. Valley’s goal is to make the knowledge of dog psychology and communication accessible to everyone in order to help people create lasting relationships with their dogs; thereby, decreasing the number of dogs euthanized or surrendered to shelters.
Presently Valley runs her company Canine Valley Re-education and Adventure Centre from Squamish BC. Where she offers behaviour modification programs, dog rehabilitation sessions, private consultations, and socialization sessions to a growing list of clients. Valley’s rehabilitation methods are based solely on dog psychology and pack mentality.
Valley enjoys assisting people to communicate more efficiently with their dogs and to achieve good habits and assertive leadership. She is personally satisfied when she knows that she has played a small part in the development and success of someone’s best friend.
