Desi Schlapbach

Desi was born and raised in Switzerland where she graduated from the School of Commerce of Berne. Shortly after that she moved to Canada at age 19 and has been back and forth ever since. Desi grew up with dogs and volunteered as a dog walker and foster home for numerous shelters. Working with dogs and caring for them has always been her passion. Working for a raw pet food company got her started in pursuing a career caring for and working with dogs. In March 2011 Desi adopted a rescue named Tia. Having a dog with issues that were hard to deal with, Desi decided to get help from Canine Valley. She is now working for Canine Valley as a handler and apprenticing to become a dog behaviourist.
